Age limit: 1-15 years old

Registration begins at 7:00 AM, with fishing starting at 8:00 AM.

Catfish will be stocked before the event, and the water will be closed starting on June 4th in preparation.

Bait and loaner rods will be available while supplies last, and educational stations will be set up for youth and parents during the event. Once the event is over, the area will reopen for everyone to fish.

On Bobby Wilson Free Fishing Day, June 6th, 2026, all state residents and visitors of any age may fish for free without a license in Tennessee’s public waters. Additionally, youth ages 15 or younger may fish for free the entire week, beginning on Free Fishing Day (June 6) and continuing through the following Friday, June 12.
