10:00 AM – Explore Laurel-Snow State Natural Area
One of Rhea County’s most iconic outdoor destinations, Laurel-Snow features beautiful waterfalls, historic mining remnants, and scenic hiking trails. Perfect for photos and a little outdoor adventure.


1:00 PM – Lunch in Downtown Dayton
Enjoy lunch at one of Dayton’s locally owned restaurants and spend some time browsing downtown shops and specialty stores. We love grabbing a crisp coke and famous hot dogs from Kenny’s!
3:00 PM – History & Culture Stop
Visit the historic Rhea County Heritage and Scopes Trial Museum and the Historic Rhea County Courthouse. Learn about the famous 1925 Scopes Trial and the unique story of Rhea County.
